About the AccessBus Service
AccessBus is a dial-a-ride bus service providing door-to-door local transport, seven days a week between 9am and 5pm.
Who is it for?
Anyone of any age can register for AccessBus but it is of particular benefit to those unable to use regular bus services. Drivers can assist passengers door-to-door, including boarding and alighting.
Buses are fully accessible with low floors, fitted with seat-belts and the most up-to-date safety equipment for wheelchairs and other mobility aids. Assistance dogs and companions are welcome to travel onboard.
Where can I go?
Most journeys are for local shopping purposes but we can provide a limited number of journeys for social purposes - places of worship and community centres for example.
The service is FREE for passengers holding an ENCT pass, otherwise a flat fare or £3 per journey applies.
